230.95(C) Performance Testing

Im a bit confused as to what exactly is being tested here.They talk about a ground fault protection "system".Does this mean that I have to install my building wiring before the test is performed or can the technician just test the GFI breaker by itself.

The equipment shall be tested when first installed on site?Does this give me a day?,a week?

Yes, to test the "system" the whole package would need to be complete. This testing and documenting might be done by the gear manufacturer or witnessed by a third party.
