24 volt esd circuit

An inspector wants us to run a 24 volt dc esd circuit through about 11 pushbuttons in series. He also believes we can use #10 awg copper without any problem.

I realize there is no real "load" here, but the circuit will be about 1500' long, so the resistance of the wire itself will probably drop the 24v quite a bit. Not having used the dc circuit for esd's before I'm concerned.

Any ideas?

If there's no "real load", there's no voltage drop. You need to know what the load actually is and plug that into the calculation. If your load is only 100ma, you'll loose less than a volt.
