Can you interchange 240 volt panels with 208 volt?

Bennie, I'll take a chance. Since you did not include any dual voltages in the two i.e. 120/208 I will say yes.

I should have wrote...Can you connect 120/240 volts to 120/208 volt panel? Or vice versa.

Yes. For example, the Square D NQOD panels, with a maximum voltage rating of 240 volts, are listed for all the systems shown in the chart. There is actually no 208 volt panel listed.

You got it Ed. I posted this because I got an answer from a professional code instructor, that you could connect 208 to a 240 volt panel but not in reverse. I informed him to check the NEMA rating system of panelboards, and to refund money to students he instructed that way.

208 is not a standard marking.
