240 Induction Cooktop with 3-Wire Whip

30 Amp Cooktop with 3-Wire Whip (Black, Red, Green). Circuit with 8 AWG 4 wire NM, bare EGC. Wire green to EGC, or green to neutral (both are mentioned in manual)? Or replace the whip with a four wire whip (assuming that I can identify an appropriate location in the appliance to wire the neutral)?

Green to green. If the manual mentioned whip green to supply white, it should only be in the context that the supply has no green. Leave your supply white unconnected at the cooktop junction box. No way to put a 4 wire whip on your load, it doesn't use the neutral.
