24V power

I'm not clear when a seprate 24V power circuit is required for FSD's, Modules and relays on the IDC circuit? I feel like sometimes it is and isnt't even with these devices present. Whatdetermines when you need it? Thanks.

I'm probably not understanding your question correctly but what determines if 24v is needed or not depends on if the fire alarm system is providing the power to them or not.

Or is the OP asking whether the 24 volt power source of the system requires a dedicated line voltage circuit as its source? Often 24 wall warts are plugged into a standard receptacle outlet. Does that need to be on a dedicated circuit or can it be any available receptacle?
