Hi experts,
I have a waste water project that has a wet well with several submersible pumps and float switches that classified as a class I div 2 location. The inspector asked to bond all the metal parts in the wet well such as pump rails, wet well metal cover and even the HOSE BIB per 250.100.
In my opinion I think this is over kill, as these metal parts are not likely to be energized. All the submersible pumps and float switches have their own EGC and that EGC is internally factory bonded to the pump frame or float switch.
What is your opinion?
