I have building steel that is not qualified grounding electrode 250.52(A)(2). However NEC 2014 section 250.104(C) requires bonding to structural metal if likely to become energized.
There are no wire or conduits running which can energized metal structural steel. I am not sure what else’s can energize the structural steel.
Following:
1. If structural metal steel is bonded anyways to the main service disco neutral bar and it’s not likely to become energize would it cause unsafe situation?
2. What other items other than wire tuning can most likely energize the structural steel that should be considered?
