We install 10/2 w ground MC Cable for voltage drop for a 20-amp receptacle 20 circuit breaker. Can we use a #12 ground pigtail to the box.

I thought about that. There are no corresponding circuit conductors for the pigtail jumper.

Added: Also, there would be no voltage drop attributed to a 6" long wire.
