250.162(A) Two-Wire, Direct-Current Systems. A 2-wire, dc system supplying premises wiring and operating at greater than 60 volts but not greater than 300 volts shall be grounded.

Some Power optimizer systems balance the output of the modules within the string so that a minimum voltage is sent to the inverter in order to operate. This allows each optimizer attached to each module to make adjustment to conditions of shade on some with sun on others. The working VDC of an inverter is 400VDC. Does that omit the need to ground this system that is greater than 300 VDC? or does (in this case) 250.169 mandate the system be grounded due to being a separately derived system?
