277v MOTOR CALCULATIONS.

Acording to artical 430 you are supposed to use the ampacity charts 430.251 to obtain your locked rotor current. Is simply using the name plate value permissable on 277v motors as there is no column for them.

I really can't answer your question, but I am kind of curious.

Never heard of a 277V motor.
Is it single phase?
Might it be a torque motor?
What is the nameplate Hp rating?

What is the application for a 277V motor? And why would you need locked rotor? 277V fire pump???
