2P disconnect switch

Any feedback why I should use 2P disconnect switch instead of 1P disconnect switch for single pole 220v loads?

Not sure what voltage system you are working with(Cairo) but , in most cases, such as 422,.31 &b 430.103, it is required that the disconnect open all ungrounded conductors on on US stystems it is required so as to reemove shock hazard from voltage to ground....

2P means ungrounded + neutral on 3ph 400v/1ph 220v system,

IMHO, I cannot see a real reason for having 2P disconnect switch in such systems
