In last 3 weeks i have shot over 2,000 of them pins with a ramset.Sorry but tapcons just simply would take far too long and cost far more.cschmid said:I hate it when you guys use the power anchor they are such a pain in the a-- to remove..I know they will never remodel the basement..but on commercial jobs they suck..that is why they invented hammer drills and anchors with screws..I know you guys just build them and if you go back great extra cash..where you build them and service them we use screws..
Shooting the paslode fasttrack or hiltigx100 is a much lighter load and smaller usually 1" pin than the ramset/hilti powder actuated animal that is more meant for concrete and steel I beams. Straping one hole straps and the 1900 boxes on a block wall furred out with hat channel is very fast and efficient. The hilti is a much faster tool than the passlode like light years. It seemed to be more invented for shooting steel bottom track down to the concrete floor but electricians have adapted. Try not to remove them.cschmid said:I do understand the costs yet it still sucks to remove them....
