Was wondering, what’s the best way and up to code to run 3 conductors that are 3/0 awg copper into stud frame. Im thinking of running 2in liquid tight. Am I able to notch out 2in into the frame for the liquid tight. Or am I able to make a knockout rite in the center of the stud. Thank you, 1 yr in the field there’s still much for me to learn.

What kind of building/structure is it?
Is it a load bearing wall?
Outside wall?
How many studs do you need to go through?
What are you trying to power?

2” LT will be stiff, hard to bend and keep in place esp when pulling. Can you run emt?
Punching and notching studs is a building code issue.
Not much stud left on a 2x4 wall with a 2 3/4” hole.
Is this for a service?

Even if you could do it for structural reasons, the code would require you to put nail plates on both sides of the stud wherever you drilled a hole for the liquid tight. I think I would be looking for a different way.

For what kind of electrical circuit would you need to be able to run three 3/0 conductors in LT? Most times you are going to need an equipment grounding conductor as well.
