I forgot the formula for calulating the take up on 3" & 4" grc. So I thought I needed to get this back together before I start my new job next week

if your talking about the "take up" in a bend (?) that will depend on the bending shoe...

There is no formula, it depends on the size or radius of the shoe. Its the distance the conduit shortens for a bend, the bend is shorter than a square corner.
