I have a 3/4hp single phase motor with no internal overloads. And havnt been able to find anything about it being impedance protected.
I know it clearly says 1hp and less you don’t have to. But I also have a service factor of 1.15.

So does that mean since the motor is under 1hp but has a sf of 1.15 it needs overloads?

I think the key wording is "rated 1 HP or less and automatically started".
The 1.15 rrating is in regard to the 125% rating of NP>

ahhh thank you. I went ahead and wired the machine without overload protections because I checked the code book before hand. But than began to doubt myself.
