Does anyone know why manufacturers of electrical fittings label boxes of romex connectors and such as 3/8 when they are for 1/2 inch ko's?
3/8 labeled fitting for 1/2 in ko.

There is no standard 3/8 KO size either, a typical 3/8 conduit/cable fitting fits in a standard 1/2 KO.
You sometimes can find a fitting for one size of raceway but fits another size KO, but they are designed that way and not considered a standard fitting. Can eliminate the need for additional reducing fittings though.
