Does anyone have a wiring control diagram to show 3-phase (480V) motor to interlock with single phase (120V) motor. I.e. if the 3-phase motor runs, the single phase motor will run.
Assuming both motors have their own starter.
Or the other way around, depending on the application. For example, if the larger 3 phase motor was driving a compressor and the small motor was a cooling fan for the compressor, we would always use the aux contact from the fan starter to energize the compressor starter. That way, if for any reason the fan starter doesn’t pull in, the compressor doesn’t run.
