I need to replace a 3-Phase-dry-type-transformer in the near future. Is there anything anyone can tell me on how to approach this safely and quickly. This is my first "job" of this size so any encouragement would be welcome.

Before anyone gets into details of safety and installation issues, I know they are going to wonder whether you are going to be doing the job under the supervision of a licensed journeyman or master, and what instructions and assistance that person has given (or will be giving) you.

We generally welcome people who are new to the trade and in need of information and assistance. But we tend to worry about apprentices who appear to be getting in over their heads, without the immediate and present help of a more experienced person.

Can I ask you to address this first, before we start answering your question?

yes he will be there...I will not be alone .. I doubt I will even touch the the transformer but I would just like to know or understand a little more of the difference between the basic transformer we have say for our power tools and the new one going in outside...
This is new to me and would like to understand more of what my future work will be like.
