Newbie question: I have a 31.9 FLA 3 phase 208V compressor. I am trying to estimate the VA on each leg of the 3 phases. 31.9*208*1.732=11,492 VA.
Is this VA seen on each of the 3 legs? Or is 1/3 of this calc on

Avoid using using terms like “on each leg” and “per leg” because it ends up adding more confusion than helping. You’ll see that recommendation on this forum here a good bit. To answer your question though, the 11.5kVA is total.

Why are you trying to calculate this “each leg” though?

Thanks ... and sorry
We are trying to estimate the panel load on each pole to be sure it is balanced, Is the 11.5kVa on each pole or is 1/3 on each pole?

Well it would be 1/3 on each pole. But really, THAT load is balanced, so it really doesn’t matter. What matters in balancing are the single phase loads.
