A 3 phase, 120/230 Volt, multifamily dwelling has a total demand load of 220 KVA. What is the minimum size of aluminum service conductor that can be used for the building? how would you guys answer this question?; my book says the answer is 600 kcmil Aluminum which I cant get to make sense. since ampacity of the 600 kcmil conductor is 340 amps at 75c. using parallel conductors would put me at 680 amps. which is not the minimum requirement that could work in this case. would appreciate any responses and clarifications thanks ahead for taking your time...
