3 phase transformer feeding with single phase

What I have is a 480v to 208/120v 3 phase transformer I am feeding for temp power but only have 480v single phase to feed it with. Is there a way I can make this work?

No. What is your logic. What do you expect that you will end up with on the secondary? You certainly will not get 3ph.

I was trying to achieve 208/120v single phase. I got it though. I basically removed one of the phases in the transformer to make it happen. My trailer is now fed and have power. Yeah!

what did you remove? Most single unit transformers are wound on a common core and about the most you will do is insulate unneeded leads.
