I have a machine that has a 3 phase transformer supplying 6 secondary outputs.
Each of the secondary outputs is lead to either 1, 2, or 3 heaters. The heaters are 80v, 45 amp, 3.6kw.
3 phase transformer
60KVA 3PH 50/60hz
PRI 380/415/480/575V Delta wye
SEC (3) 65/85V
My understanding is that each transformer of the 3 phase transformer supplies 2 outputs of of the 6 total secondary outputs.
My question is, can I take one of the 3 transformers in the 3 phase transformer, supply it with lower voltage and build a machine that only has 2 secondary outputs.
If not, what would be the best way to supply power to two secondary outputs capable of controlling 3 heaters each. 80v 45amp 3.6kw. While keeping primary voltage at 220 or below?
What I’d like to do is build a two output machine that doesn’t need 480v.
