In mike holt book nec exam preparation 2008 version page 294 service conductor size example 3 should not choose a raceway accommodate to 4 conductors instead of 3 that we have 3 phase service

Kimrichi, We don't have the book you are studying from. Can you ask the question word for word from the book? This is Mike Holt's forum but most won't have that book. I have some for the 2005 but it's probably different.
Also check Mike Holt's website as he has a link to corrections for mistakes found in the books.

You can have a 3?, 3 wire service or a 3?, 4 wire service.

Not nice... The OP probably doesn't speak English very well and based by their name they are probably Korean. Imagine trying to learn something as complex as electricity using a resource written in a foreign language.
