Customer wants his kitchen ceiling light on a countdown timer if it can be done. It's a 3-way switch, though. Doing some research and I run across this product:

https://smile.amazon.com/Leviton-LT...814538&sr=8-1&keywords=3-way+countdown+switch

In the description it says "3-way only works with Vizia + Remote - VP0SR (sold separately)."

So now I'm thinking it might be doable, but I've no experience with this Vizia system, and the research is a little overwhelming. I'd like to know it can be done before I order parts and try to figure it out. If I have confirmation that it can be done, I'll order the parts and figure it out, of course.

Do I need a Vizia 3-way on the other side, and this countdown timer on this side, and then just redo the wiring on each end so they talk to each other?

Here's one from Lutron...

Awesome. I remember we did a Maestro 3-way replacement once. I think we got the parts on accident doing just a trim swap, and it took us a bit to figure out why it wouldn't work until we redid the wiring so they talked to each other instead of just using dumb travelers.

But this time I'll be ready for it!

I don't know if there is an option for using a standard 3way instead of the companion switch (like you can with the Maestro dimmer). I've installed quite a number of the dimmers with the companions. But on two separate occasions I used an existing three-way on the other end, and it was abundantly more difficult.
