3-way Occupancy sensor

I have been asked the question: Do you know if there is a code requirement for 3way switching when occupancy sensors are being used in the room?" I was under the impression the only 3way switching requirements were for residential applications and could not find anywhere in the code where it refers to a commerical installation. am I missing something?

U might search here, there was a few great threads about these devices.

Point being that one brand will not work till first touched, and theres a suttle but critic difference in the various make and models be sure what you think your Spec'n is what your getting!

They are not even required in stairwells, 3 ways are not required at all in the NEC. They are for convenience only.

You only need a switch at top and bottom, which means you could have a single pole at the top and at the bottom for two different lights. :wink:
