Do I need to install a service disconnect for a 30amp subpanel? Subpanel is for a dryer. Subpanel is near the dryer. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Why run a subpanel at all for the dryer? Plan on expanding in the future? If not, why not run your wires from the main panel to the receptacle?

What are you originating from?

Why do you need a "subpanel" for a single branch circuit of this type?

Perhaps you are not using correct NEC terms to describe what you have, leading to confusion to those that read it? Maybe give more details of what you have and what you are trying to do and it will help clarify things if you are using wrong terms.

Does it make a difference if it's a detached dryer? ;)
