I am looking to set up some 240 volt electric temporary jobsite heaters.
They are dual wattage. 6250/7500.

Would like opinions on using 30A twist lock devices for connection.
Cable is 8/3 SOOW.

thanks

By dual wattage do you mean either 208 or 240 volts? If so then at 240 volts the current draw is 31.25 amps. (7500/240=31.25)

I though about dual rated for 208/240 volts but the wattages don't work out. If the 240 one is 7500, the 208 one should be 5630.

I figured that the numbers were close but didn't do the math. I wonder how else could there be dual wattage.

Whats the make/model of the heater? Seems to me like a 30 amp twistlock is too small. Probably going to want to use the CS6365 50 amp locking connectors to be compatible with jobsite type temp power.
