Can someone please help me clarify when exactly to use 310.15 b1 or b2. I completely understand they're for temp correction factors. One says based on temps other than 86 deg f & the other says 104 deg f. However one table has a column that goes from 50 to 185 deg f. The other goes from 50 to 437 deg f. So do I use 310.15b2 only if the temp is above 104 deg f & if it's below 104 deg f then I use 310.15 b1? Any clarity would be appreciated. Thanks

B1 corresponds to 30°C conductors in 310.15(B)(16) ambient of 30°; B2 corresponds to 40°C conductors in 310.15(B)18, etc.,ambient of 40°

Thanks, realized that shortly after my post. Sometimes I ask stupid questions. When the answer is right in front of me.

In my class a great number of folks go to the wrong Table. The fact that B2 is considerable larger may be a factor.
