I'm looking at a large roof top conduit installation of about 40 conduits of varying sizes - both low and medium voltage circuits. All are installed in rigid galvanized steel conduit. Do the correction factors shown in tables 310.15(B)(1) and (2) apply to the medium voltage cables as well as the low voltage?
For example, they're using 500kCMIL single conductor, 105 Deg C, 133% EPR/PVC, 5kV/8kV shielded cable -- do I still need to add the compensated 60 Deg F to the ambient temp of say, 95 Deg F?
Does elevating the conduits say 6" above the roof mitigate the correction factors?
