I've been in the archives and on a couple of equipment manufacturers websites and I'm abit disappointed to find that most, if not all, sealing locknuts are listed only for RMC and IMC.I would like to use them on 2" PVC terminal adapters to enter a raintite enclosure above the level of uninsulated live parts to comply with 312.2. (Specifically, out the back of a CT can above the CTs.)

I understand that there are o-rings that are UL approved made for this purpose but have never used them.

Are there sealing locknuts approved for rigid PVC conduit fittings?
Who makes the o-rings?

you could use a meyers hub and screw the pvc into it.

we use meyers hubs regardless of conduit type.

Sealing locknuts are permitted on the inside or outside of RMC and IMC so I don't see why they wouldn't work on a terminal adapter. Besides would they even be required if you go out of the back of the CT can?

I see that the last sentence regarding entries above the live parts is new for the 2005 NEC. So as stated in the OP the entry would be required to use fittings listed for wet locations.

I have found the information I was looking for on the Carlon website.

Carlon makes an o-ring which is UL listed for PVC terminal adaptors sizes 1/2" to 2".

"Where a waterproof termination is required into any enclosure (metallic or non-metallic), install the neoprene washer over the threads of a terminal adapter before inserting into the enclosure. Use a standard locknut or threaded bushing to secure the assembly."

edited to say: It turns out the o-ring is not UL listed. I failed to see a small triangle next to the part number which indicates otherwise. See additional post below. Thanks and apologies.

Many years ago I purchased 1/2 and 3/4 neoprene sealing gaskets from Carlon for use with PVC male connectors. I don't know if they are still available or come in larger sizes.

I have a retraction to my post I wish to make. I posted the o-ring in the online Carlon catalog was UL listed. I now notice a small triangle next to the catalog number which indicates otherwise.
I apologize for this oversite and want to correct this information right away.

Edited to add: I recieved an e-mail from Carlon as follows. "The o-ring is not required to be listed as it is not in direct contact with the conductors. It goes on the outside threads of a fitting, thus the fitting forms a barrier between the o-ring and the conductors."

So, Maybe I'm still OK regarding 312.2.
