I just went through an OS HA inspection where I was fined for having double duplex pendant drops with the steel boxes with knockouts. We have many through the plant that are without knockouts so were fined for only 3. ($1k each) They are the Red Dot series with 1/2 hub where Kellum grips are used to hang from overhead supports. I started getting myself in a knot about all the rest of them and wound up calling customer service for Thomas and Betts and this is the exact code reference they used to "justify" the use of their product. I will say it is very very difficult (never really found it) to find a reference to "may be used in pendant applications". Since the inspector didn't add any others, it must be satisfactory
