334.10 MNC uses permitted

Permitted use #3 states- other structures permitted to be of types III, IV, and V construction.... Cables shall be concealed within walls, floors, or ceilings that provide a thermal barrier of material that has at least a 15 minute finish rating i.e 1/2 sheetrock. However, 334.10(B) NMC shall be permitted as follows;(1) for both exposed and concealed work in dry, moist, damp, or corrosive locations, except as prohibited in 334.10(3).
This seems to contradic yes/no? explain

I think 334.10 (3) is more specific to commercial buildings and 334.10 (A) is referring to residential.

I was the one who wrote that NMC is not readily available, and would most likely be a special order from your supply house. Next time you are in the supply house, ask for NMC and wait for the looks. :wink:
