It's all in the title. :)

I have a 3 phase, 208 volt 37 KW commercial oven and I need to run a circuit for it.

37*1000/208/1.73=103 amps.

The equipment vender says a 110 amp circuit is enough, and I think they are right but before I buy the copper I sure would like to hear other peoples thoughts.

I don't consider it a continuous load, is there any other NEC section I am forgetting?

I think you are good to go. Your math is right, and it is consistent with the vendor's instructions. I agree that this is non-continuous. I presume you were planning on using #2 wire, and I see no need to get "spendier" than that.

Yeah 2 AWG copper was my thought, I just wanted to make sure there was not an NEC section I was overlooking.

I wire a lot of commercial ovens but almost always from engineered drawings so I don't have to really think about it. This time it is up to me.

The distance is under 80' so I am not worrying about voltage drop.

(BTW, I am still thinking about 210.25, I just have been too busy to deal with it now. ;D )
