392.6 Tray bonding

A section of channel cable tray sweeps down vertically to the floor NEXT to a motor (or other equipment). (Jacketed) armored cable containing a grounding conductor, runs in the tray, sweeps horizontally (<6") out of the vertical tray and connects to a motor.

Do we also need to run a bonding jumper from the tray to the motor (equipment) as per (third paragraph of) NEC 392.6, even though the motor essentially already has two EGC connected to it? Seems like we do.

What if armored cable isn't jacketed, is tray system bonded to motor through armor?

I dont see the necessity to extend a bonding jumper from the tray to the motor if the motor is grounded via the EGC contained in the MC cable. The only way I can see needing this bonding jumper is if the tray itself is being utilized as the bonding/grounding means for the equipment in accordance with 392.7
