A customer is requesting a UPS for 200a 208 3phase. Is knowing just the voltage and amperage help size the UPS.

I would also ask the customer how long they want this UPS to supply power at full load, but that's sizing the battery banks, not the UPS itself.

Holy Scoobysnacks! That'll be a HUGE UPS. I hope they have their checkbook ready. Would a backup generator be more cost effective, even with the short interruption during genny start and transfer?

I would try to get more info about the load. Is it just a 200 amp panelboard that runs, say, 50-60 amps of load, or actually 200 amps of load?

The UPS will feed a panel with around 120a. The UPS will back up Cell carrier equipment during generator maintenance for about 10-20 minutes until generator cycles back off. As far as size of UPS the sell 208 3phase 60kva UPS so i know they exist. Nornally inside these cell sites is a 24v or -48v power bay with rectifiers with 100ahr 12v batteries in series 24 or 48. Im not sure why but they want the 208v 3phase to be switched. I know im missing something just not sure what..
