3R and Punching Holes

I'm going to be installing an outdoor load center. The problem is that I need to go up with the conduits that will be servicing branch circuits. Does anyone see a problem with punching a few knockouts in the top and then using "Myers Hubs" for connectors. For those who may not call them Myers Hubs, they are connectors with an O ring gasket and typically, threaded conduit is put into them. I'm concerned that the load center could loose it's 3R rating if I drill the top.
This is a job in Washington State, which is primarily NEC codes.
Thanks, RICK

Re: 3R and Punching Holes

Rick,

If the hub has a 3R rating the enclosure will maintain the rating. However, I have always avoided top entry on outdoor mounted enclosures because of condensate build up in conduit running directly into the enclosure.
