K kholland Member May 14, 2003 #1 What is the difference between 3-wire,single-phase and 3-wire,two-phase?

(3-Phase is 120 degrees) For Single Phase: W = E x I x pF For Two-Phase: W = 2E x I x pF For 3-Phase: W = E x I x 1.732 x pF What is bad about Two-Phase systems, is that even with a balnced load, the current on the center-tap is 1.41 times the phase conductors.
