#4 Bare Stranded Wire For Grounding Main Panel.

Will #4 Stranded bare wire pass inspection for grounding a main panel? Most places seem to be out of solid wire right now.

No NEC requirement for solid. I never use #4 solid, only 7-strand bare or THHN. Solid is a PITA to work with.

FYI. I just checked some of my supply houses and they have a good stock of 4 solid. Not sure why yours don't have it.

Home Depot stores seem to have it in stock in 50' rolls and 200' spools.
I was at HD last week and not one store within 50 miles had any in stock. There seemed to be a shortage, it may just be a HD supplier deal.

What are your thoughts on #4 Stranded bare?
