Does anyone know of a 4" Duct "Y" that one can use in order to exhaust 2 - bath fans out of a single 4" wall vent?
Thank you,
Thank you,
The private home inspector turned down something similar to what yours looks like. He said that it was against code to run 2 - ducts out of a single wall vent. I plan to call the building inspector tomorrow for verification. I was hoping to find something like yours but with 2 - back draft dampers built into it. Thanks.
panasonic inline fans come with what you are looking for...
a 4" wye, with flappers on each of the branches.
so, they can be found.
The fans typically already have back draft dampers included so you shouldn't need one in your wye.The private home inspector turned down something similar to what yours looks like. ...combined into a larger common duct.
Not a mechanical code violation for 2 bath fans exhausts to "Y" together. Dryer & other exhaust, yes. And, certainly NOT an electrical problem. The private home inspector turned down something similar to what yours looks like.
