The private home inspector turned down something similar to what yours looks like. He said that it was against code to run 2 - ducts out of a single wall vent. I plan to call the building inspector tomorrow for verification. I was hoping to find something like yours but with 2 - back draft dampers built into it. Thanks.

panasonic inline fans come with what you are looking for...
a 4" wye, with flappers on each of the branches.

so, they can be found.

The fans typically already have back draft dampers included so you shouldn't need one in your wye.

That said when both are running you may not get the airflow you would if each were separately vented or if they combined into a larger common duct.

Not a mechanical code violation for 2 bath fans exhausts to "Y" together. Dryer & other exhaust, yes. And, certainly NOT an electrical problem.

Being an HVAC contractor in Ohio for over 10 years, I have seen and ran a multitude of projects tying (2) or (3) 4" or 6" pipes together using a 6" or 8" pipe whether it be through the roof or the wall.
