I looked at a residential job yesturday and saw where the power company relocated the existing buried service entrance (due to water coming in) from one side of the basement (where the 100amp 20 crt main breaker panel is) to the opposite side. They came in through the box sill, installed a new 100amp main breaker enclosure and ran #2-3wire SEU cable (approx 50ft ) to the existing panel and tied it in. I explained to the owner how and why this is a code violation and that a 4-wire cable should have been used with seperation of neutrals and grounds at the panel with the grounding electrode system at the new main. Now the guy that did the work wants proof. Even though I've done this for a long time, I can't seem to put my finger on the specific artiticle that addresses this. Hope you can help. Thanks and take care.
