400 Amp. Stainless Meter Main

Hello everyone,

I need your help. I just got a set a blueprints for a residential job and the contractor is asking for a 400 Amp Meter Main because the project is at the coast. I have been looking for this meter and the only one I found through a local vendor comes out to $3500.00 because is a special order item. Does anyone have any leads as to where I might be able to find one at a lower price? Your help will be appreciated.

Why does it need to be stainless? The bussing inside will rot away before the can does.

Stainless is not so painless... Gonna cost big time.
I'd consider the enclosure and copper bussing.
