, tell me why this would be bad.

OK, I will, while you were playing the price is right, I was doing some testing

for you. I ran 4 parallel #12's from a 120v recpt. to a 5 space terminal strip,

at the end of the strip I attached a recpt and plugged in a drill eor a constant

load, on one of the 4 wires I doubled up in the strip to another recpt and plugged

in another load. Started the drill took amp readings, all 4 #12 were the same,

started the other load that was doubled up on the strip took amp readings of

the 4 #12's -- 3 were the same 1 was higher, the one tied to the doubled up

terminal. Chris, maybe you should try this yourself, it might make the decision

easier to make.

Well thats not what I wanted to hear. Thanks for your time Frank. I was hoping the 'electricity takes all available paths' thing could help me here.

Punt.

Can you supply a diagram of that? I can't quite picture the exact connection scheme by your description...

Sorry Smart, I've never taken the time to learn how to send pic.s , etc. It's

probally about time I figure it out.

Bump this!

Hey, chris. When you get this completed can you take some pictures of the finished product?

Love to see how it turned out.

You know it. It will be tomorrow for sure. I will also get Amp readings on each conductor.

BTW, saw your close-ups of the GFI. I think I may need a new camera.

Might be close to a glass of Powers later.

I'll take a close up. ;)

Will drink plenty of water tommorow to ensure proper hydration.

This is what we ended up with. POCO is under the stack lugs and the 600's are in the singles. Buss was not touched up/cleaned before new lugs were installed.

No amp readings yet as the chiller was not on-line when I left. I'll get them when I meet the inspector for final.
