Sent a query to Schneider regarding any possibility of an electrical stimulus causing breaker to go to OFF position.

Thank you for contacting Schneider Electric Advance Circuit Breaker Support.

There is no way that I know of that the breaker could end up in the off position is if it is turn off. If the breaker is tripped it can be reset to the off position but once again someone would have to reset the breaker from a tripped position.

Best Regards

Question: Please look at the link below:

Is there any possible way (e.g external magnetic field due to rare earth magnet) or any current harmonic combinations or surge waveforms that can conceivably move a 400A LA breaker handle to OFF (not trip) position WITHOUT external mechanical force on the handle.

Thank you.

That man went through a lot of pain over that coffee shop.

That's the 2nd time that same "problem" came to this forum in less than a year. I wonder if something's going around where rotten people are suggesting others do that.

To remotely pop GFCI's would only take a cube tester with the GFCI button on it. It could be done in about 2 seconds without anyone seeing it. Take out the credit card processor circuit and everyone gets an unscheduled break.
