Hello I have a ?? I'm doing a 400 amp service haven't done one since I've been out on my own. I checked pse&g they require Ct for anything after 200 amps please correct me if I'm wrong. So I'm looking to build a 3 phase 120/208 service any help would be much appreciated.

Some utilitles dont seem to like 320/400 amp meter sockets for some reason. You will just have to check the utility requirements for the CT cabinet. Some will provide it for you. If they dont, your supply house should know what to get you.

Find out who does what: around here, the util gives me the CT's and I have to mount them, but they wire them up to the meter socket. YMMV.

They might have very specific requirements for the conduit type and length between the CT cab and the meter so check that.

There is no reason you cant still use 2 200A grouped MB panels like we usually do for 400 amps, if that suits you.

I would generally use 2 sets of 250 AL.
