Are there any add heat consideration when using 400Hz AC power? Over and above what one encounters with 60Hz power.
Thanks,

The resistance of a conductor is higher at 400 hz that it is at 60 hz. The reason is skin effect. It has more effect on larger conductors than small conductors.drbond24 said:Somebody's going to say it, so it might as well be me:
the resistance is the same; it is the impedance that will be higher at larger frequencies.Edit: I was beaten to the punch while typing my post!!
