I was looking for the rule that restricted voltage between adjacent devices to 300 volts. I found 406.5(H). But this applies only to a receptacle being adjacent to another device. Is there a similar rule for other types of devices being adjacent to each other? I am specifically looking at using adjacent relays in a lighting relay panel, with 277V on one relay and 120V on an adjacent relay. Is this allowed?

404.8(B) would cover snap switches, receptacles and other devices. Regarding relays I don't think this would apply. I often see lighting contractors with both 277 and 120 volt lighting loads on the same device.
