'Panelboards equipped with snap switches rated at 30A or less shall have OCP not in excess of 200A.'

How is a panelboard 'equipped' with a snap switch?

Sorry, just perusing the code and came across this and it puzzled me.

In the old days there were panelboards built with snap switches in series with plug (screw-in) fuses. The fuse was the OCPD and the switch was for normal on-off. I don't know of any one still building this type of panelboard.

I looked at the definition for panelboard in article 100 recently and I can't be sure what a panelboard is anymore.

I think it's stuff designed to be put in a box or something.

I'm just not sure since I've read that.
