Can I install a fluorescent bulb in a 6" ICAT recessed light fixture to satisfy 410.8(B)2?
If not, what type of cover should be installed to satisfy 410.8(B)1? The only covers I have seen for recessed lights are shower trim kits. Should that get installed in closet with a recessed light?

Thank you.

Halo and Juno both make a plastic lens for this application. They cost about $10 to $15 depending on color, style and fixture

I think a shower trim is all but perfect for a closet.

Shower trims on Halo limit you to an a60 watt lamp. Put on the diffuser trim and presto, dim lighting. I made this mistake on one of my own houses, and my wife complained every time she went in there. I try to steer customer's towards surface mounted flourescent lights whenever there is enough room to install same. They make for a better lit closet.

I did this last week on a trim and the amount of light is a joke. Why even bother to put the light in the closet if it's going to be too little to help ? I suggest a 2 foot flo.
