regarding 424.19(C), can the supplementary OCP's mounted on the unit be considered a "unit switch", or is there a formal def. of a unit switch I haven't come across? thanks
 
I'm not sure that the term needs defining. Does the switch that you are discussin have a marked "off" position that disconnects all ungrounded conductors, as required by that section?
 
the supplementary OCP on the unit does have an OFF marking- just wondering if that could be considered a unit switch
