430.25 air compressors and vacuums

The Code specifics in Art 409, 430 and 440 should agree with nameplate data.
 
Well, the name plate data is higher than the table data in 430, but the table data is based on motor load alone, and the name plate data on the vacuum and air compressors is for the whole unit. The engineer I'm working with wants to use the table data:roll:, but I'm not sure he knows the name plate data is higher.;) I'd be happy to use which ever is higher, but being a factory assembled unit and not a lone motor, it seems like a good idea to go with name plate ratings for the unit.
 
Based on 110.3(B) and Art 409 (if applicable) , I;d use the nameplate data
 
The air compressor and vacuums are most likely going to be classified as an appliance. (I am guessing these are for a dentist's office). And as such you should size the branch circuit in accordance with 422.10.
